Controls University grew from a simple observation: BAS professionals learn best when theory is connected to realistic systems, practical decisions, and repeated experience.

The problem

The industry needs more opportunities to practice.

Controls University is intended to complement classroom instruction, manufacturer training, mentorship, and field experience by adding a repeatable place to apply them.

The origin

Created from hands-on BAS experience.

Controls University was founded from real-world experience in BAS programming, commissioning, service, and troubleshooting—not from an abstract idea of what technical work looks like.

That experience spans HVAC control systems, VAV and air-handling systems, hydronic systems, BAS programming, commissioning, service diagnostics, and field coordination.

The company remains focused on translating that working knowledge into useful practice for technicians and the teams developing them.
