Current prototype
The current prototype places the learner inside a realistic VAV service scenario involving an overheating zone, system data, field components, airflow control, reheat operation, and service documentation.
The exact fault combination and full solution path are reserved for private review.

The platform is designed to create repeatable opportunities to reason through BAS work—not to promise outcomes before they have been measured.

Read values, commands, states, and relationships without treating the graphic as the whole system.
Relate physical conditions at the equipment to the data visible through the BAS.
Gather evidence, narrow possibilities, and avoid jumping directly to a convenient answer.
Check that corrective action restores the intended sequence—not merely that an alarm clears.
Communicate observations, action taken, and current status in a useful service record.
Practice making defensible decisions when the first clue does not tell the whole story.

The library is being shaped around the systems, field devices, and diagnostic work technicians encounter across the BAS industry.
Vendor-neutral by design
Controls University is being designed around the principles, equipment, and troubleshooting patterns that carry across platforms. Individual interfaces may differ, but the underlying work remains recognizable.
The prototype is still evolving, and vendor-neutral design is a direction being developed—not a claim that every interface or workflow is already represented.
